Whether you are visiting Lincoln Parish, attending one of our universities, or residing and working here, quality healthcare is extremely important. We proudly recommend the healthcare professionals located in Lincoln Parish.

Northern Louisiana Medical Center has been serving the community since 1962. The 149-bed, acute care, non-profit facility serves primarily a six-parish area, with 48 percent of its patients coming from outside Lincoln Parish. Locally and regionally owned, performance improvement is Northern Louisiana Medical Center's continuous goal as it strives to provide quality health care.
A medical staff made up of dozens of physicians specializes in 20 areas, including anesthesiology, cardiology, dermatology, family practice, general surgery, hematology/oncology, internal medicine, nephrology, neurology, obstetrics/gynecology, ophthalmology, orthopedic surgery, otolaryngology, pathology, pediatrics, psychiatry, pulmonology, radiology and urology. Four full-time and four part-time emergency department physicians are also on staff, along with a podiatrist, and 18 dentists and physicians are on the courtesy staff. These professionals have both inpatient and outpatient state-of-the-art facilities at their disposal.

Right next door, Green Clinic has been a pillar of the community since 1948, and has grown to include doctors in more than 20 specialties. With the wide array of expertise available, Green Clinic is able to handle virtually every health problem. Some of the services provided at the clinic include outpatient surgery at Green Clinic Surgical Hospital, outpatient physical therapy, outpatient cardiac stress testing, urgent care and the clinic pharmacy.

The clinic doctors use Lincoln General Hospital when patients need hospitalization, thus the specialty areas listed above for the hospital doctors are the same as those for the clinic. The UrgentCare Center at Green Clinic is designed to quickly and efficiently address minor emergencies as well as see patients who are ill and whose primary doctor may not be available.

For those individuals who have suffered an injury and are on the road to recovery, HealthSouth North Louisiana Rehabilitation Hospital provides the assistance needed for all levels of rehabilitation. The 90-bed, licensed, long-term acute care facility provides both inpatient and outpatient services. The Ruston site is just one of more than 1,900 HealthSouth facilities nationwide, each striving to help its patients become as functionally independent as possible. Healthsouth also has a pediatric gym, which affords children who are undergoing physical therapy a more relaxing, playground-type environment. The gym is full of toys and has murals on the walls.

Numerous private physicians attracted by this extensive medical infrastructure, round out the Lincoln Parish medical community, providing residents a choice for their care. With all of these superior choices, it is easy to see why our residents don't spend time worrying about health care and instead concentrate on the finer things of life that Ruston and Lincoln Parish have to offer.
