The 2nd Annual Lincoln Parish United Town Hall Meeting will be held Monday, February 13 at the Ruston Civic Center. Representatives from the LP School Board, LA Tech University, Grambling State University, LA Delta Community College, law enforcement, Police Jury, the Chamber and LP mayors will share current and upcoming projects and programs that will benefit this community. “When you think about cultivating a healthy business environment, there can be nothing more important than actually cultivating an environment that is healthy for business,” said Cathi Cox-Boniol, Chamber Chair & Lincoln ACHIEVE Coordinator. “Events like Lincoln Parish United certainly help our community do just that.  It provides citizens from all corners of Lincoln Parish the opportunity to come together and not only celebrate the successes of the past year, but also get a glimpse of where we’re headed in 2017 and how our efforts ultimately impact one another.  When we are all better informed we are in a position to become true advocates for our individual municipalities and our community as a whole, something that can only enhance our growth and how we reflect that progress to others.  Plus, we are stronger when we stand together.  Therefore Lincoln Parish United is an excellent platform for us to showcase our community’s rich unity and how it ultimately enhances the quality of life for all of us here.” Ruston’s Mayor Walker added “Lincoln United is an excellent opportunity for the citizens of Lincoln Parish to come together and hear highlights from 2016 and what we have planned for 2017.  So often we are aware of what is going on in our own city or community, but may not be aware of what is happening just four miles down the road.  Lincoln United also gives those involved in leadership the chance to hear what is going on and maybe the opportunity to join together with another city on a project.”

Please plan to join your friends and neighbors for this free event. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. with refreshments; program begins at 6 p.m., Monday, February 13, 2017.

BRING THE FAMILY! THE LP SHERIFF'S OFFICE WILL OFFER CHILD ID CARDS AND LP LIBRARY STAFF WILL HAVE ACTIVITIES FOR CHILDREN UP TO AGE 12.
